Mr. Ashwin Ankhad was inspired to take up legal practice from his father and joined the Government Law College at Mumbai. He completed his LLB and LLM from the Mumbai University with distinction and gold medals. After the legal education, he joined the Corporate Legal Department of Godrej and then switched to TATAs where he was exposed to a lot of international legal work. Mr. Ankhad worked closely with late Shri. Nani Palkhiwala who influenced his work ethics and attitude to life.

As a fellow of the institute of Company Secretaries and member of Bombay Bar Association, Bombay Notaries Association, Indian Council of Arbiration, he has an experience of over 40 years in handling corporate Legal work, litigations, commercial arbitations, legal documentation, strategy and restructuring matters. He travelled extensively and has represented clients nationally and internationally. He has handled over 100 arbitations either as a Sole or Co-Arbitrator. Also he has appeared in almost equal number of arbirations as a leading Counsel. He is also on the Panel of Arbirators of

Most of these arbirations are complex commercial disputes in contractual matters. The area of expertise are corporate legal work, arbirations, legal documentations, strategic planning and property matters.
